Akiyoshidai International Art Village is fully equipped for various artistic activities such as music, art, dance and drama. We focus on the Artists In Residence Program and expand cooperative programs with international and domestic organizations. We also hope to hold regional programs and promote a beneficial exchange between resident artists and local citizens.

This six week summer residency offers visual artists the opportunity to be immersed in studio-based research and creative practice, mentored by leading faculty.

AI Tools for Creative Expression – 2026 – Stochastic Labs [...] Residency Subgroup [...] AI Tools for Creative Expression [...] Stochastic Labs is opening applications to our summer residency subgroup for innovators developing AI tools for creative expression. As with last year’s program, we welcome proposals from exceptional engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and artists who stand to significantly impact this emerging terrain. This residency is part of Stochastic’s 2026 summer session: Liveness + Agency. Open Call: Rauschenberg Residencies 2026/27 ZKM [...] In 1966, Armory Hall in New York City hosted "9 Evenings: Theater and Engineering," a visionary collaboration between artists and engineers from Bell Labs. This event led to the creation of the nonprofit organization E.A.T. – Experiments in Art and Technology. The artist Robert Rauschenberg, who would have celebrated his 100th birthday in 2025, was right in the middle of it as a co-founder. Since its founding, the ZKM Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe has embraced a forward-looking approach to technology and media art, in which technological developments and socio-political issues go hand in hand. In collaboration with and thanks to the support of the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, the Department of Artistic Research & Development, the ZKM Hertzlab, is offering three artistic research residencies in 2026. These "Rauschenberg Residencies" provide artists working at the intersection of performative art and creative technology with a unique opportunity to draw inspiration from Rauschenberg's dedication to E.A.T. - Experiments in Art and Technology and envision the future.
