BEYA (Berkeley Engineering Youth Academy) is an intensive hybrid program where students begin with online instruction on engineering fundamentals, then join in-person classes and labs at UC Berkeley to work on hands-on projects including CAD design, 3D printing, wind tunnel testing, and robotics. Participants get a taste of college life through campus housing, meals, and interaction with mentors at the College of Engineering, culminating in a final showcase of their prototypes.
High school students (typically ages 15+) with an interest in STEM fields and some prior coursework in math/science.
